For those of you who are drummers, I highly suggest the work of Sly Dunbar. He played drums on Grace Jones' compass point trilogy and is half of Jamaica's most famous rhythm section along with bassist Robbie Shakespeare.
He's terrific, isn't he? My favourite is 'Warm Leatherette' - great versions of Ferry's Love is the Drug and Tom Petty's 'Breakdown. They are so beautifully recorded too; all those lovely bits of percussion meaning there's always something interesting going on in and arould the grooves.
I have some King Tubby stuff with S&R on too - that's only on CD though, unfortunately.
